The design concept for this 6,000 sq ft Georgian new construction was to captivate a classic modern interior that is serene and timeless. Antiques and modern furnishings combine the past with the present in a warm palette of neutrals. The furnishings are from European designers Christian Liaigre, Phillipe Hurel, and Interni Edition. In the dining area, François Calvat’s large triptyque art of reclaimed materials presents a formal simplicity in contrast with the opulent dining chandeliers that are the designer’s custom creation. They include 132 drops of vintage Baccarat crystal and the charcoal finished pewter shades are lined with 24K gold leaf. The silk draperies are heavily lined and reminiscent of the past as is the hardware also in hand applied 24K gold leaf. This home is filled with personal expression and defines the tastes and perspectives of the owners who have lived and traveled around the world.
